The recent catastrophe in Japan really brings to the forefront of my awareness the frailty of life. Life is delicate and fleeting. Words cannot properly describe the transitory nature of life. It is one of those subjects that can only be described asymptotically. Poetry does this well, but I am not a poet so I cannot venture an expression through that medium. I marvel at the mystery of our consciousness: seemingly so clear, yet imperceptible in whole.
Our thoughts are with those of Japan.
